Robyn Barnes is an Accredited Practising Dietitian, and Credentialed Diabetes Educator with 25 years of clinical experience, with 19 years specialising in diabetes. She has been the Senior Diabetes Dietitian at Bankstown- Lidcombe Hospital Diabetes Centre for the past 16 years where she completed her PhD with the University of Newcastle alongside her clinical role. Her PhD which investigated the impact of pre-pregnancy BMI and maternal weight gain on pregnancy outcomes in women with GDM. Robyn is now a Diabetes Coordinator for the South Western Sydney Local Health District, which includes an ongoing clinical role. She has been the NSW convenor for the Dietitians Australian Dietitian Interest Group for the last 15 years, and is is also a Conjoint Fellow at Western Sydney University.
